CHI STUDENTS ON AN ADVENTURE

"We should come home from adventures.... every day with new experience and character."
~~Henry David Thoreau
Every year at the Student Orientation in September, I encourage the students to get involved in "something" at school or in their new community.  I tell them this will help them make friends, develop deeper relationships with their family and just make their time a unique part of their life for years to come.
I believe the most of the students come with the attitude of "I am ready for an adventure".  We are excited that so many of our students are doing just that.

Left: Manuel, Germany, enjoying a Sounders soccer game in Seattle, WA.
Below: Mathias, Norway (2009), has enjoyed American Football  and  Track and Field at North Eugene High.
He has entered the life of his Host Family, the Vreims, with an attitude of adventure!
His host family says, "Mathias is currently on the track team right now and throwing shot and discus.  He has never competed in track before so this is all new to him, and he is having a fun time!"

Below it looks like Mathias is very loved by his little sis!
